Stick, meet carrot. As Malacañang found creative ways to pressure people to get vaccinated, the Office of the Vice President (OVP) today launched the Vaccine Express program for economic frontliners, including public utility vehicle drivers, delivery riders, and others.

On the vice president’s Facebook page, the OVP announced that tricycle, pedicab, and delivery riders were encouraged to register for a vaccination slot. “Tricycle, pedicab, o delivery rider ka ba? Taga-Maynila ka ba? Magpre-register na sa, tapos tara sa Vaccine Express! June 22 at 23 sa Cultural Center of the Philippines!” the post read.

On Twitter, the vice president also added that the OVP had partnered with the SEAOIL Foundation to distribute gas cards worth P500 to drivers who showed up today.
