Loma Linda University is offering a coronavirus vaccine webinar, “COVID-19 Vaccines: What you need to know,” at 5 p.m. Thursday, March 18. As part of the online panel discussion and live chat, doctors Michael Hogue and Jacinda Abdul-Mutakabbir will answer questions about coronavirus vaccines, including the one dose version made by Johnson & Johnson. Hogue is the dean of the university’s School of Pharmacy. He has worked with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on an advisory committee on COVID-19 immunization practices. He also serves as an adviser to the San Bernardino County Department of Public Health’s COVID-19 Vaccine Workgroup. Abdul-Mutakabbir is an associate professor at the university, and is in charge of Loma Linda University Health’s mobile vaccination community clinics. The public can watch and participate in the virtual event at lluh.org/vaccine. The website also offers a link to schedule vaccine appointments at university facilities in Redlands and Loma Linda.
