RIGA, March 4 (LETA) – The government today decided to allocate EUR 23,491,271 from contingency funds to the Health Ministry. Of this sum, EUR 21,735,572 are necessary to compensate bonus payments to medics paid in the time period from November 1, 2020, until December 31, 2020, while the remaining EUR 1,755,699 will be allotted for vacation reserve fund. In total, the National Health Service is granted EUR 18,093,162 that should further be granted to hospitals (EUR 8,940,239). out-patient medical institutions (EUR 3,874), family physicians (EUR 8,430,483), pharmacies (EUR 649,585), and National Health Service (EUR 68,981). Also, EUR 3,479,593 have been allocated for the Emergency Medical Service, EUR 162,817 for the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC).
