The World Health Organization head, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, thanked the United States for returning to the organization, RIA Novosti reported.

According to him, today is a good day for WHO and for global health.

The global role of the United States is critical, he added.

He thanked Biden for returning to WHO and willingness to join the COVAX program, which regulates equal access and distribution of vaccines between countries, as well as the ACT program, which is responsible for joining efforts to create new vaccines and therapeutic drugs for COVID-19.
