Malta has registered 200 new coronavirus cases on Tuesday following 3,481 swab tests in the past 24 hours.

One coronavirus-related death was registered on Tuesday. An 84-year-old woman who was positive to coronavirus died at Mater Dei Hospital. To date, the pandemic has claimed 242 lives.

The number of active cases stands at 2,835 after 148 recovered.

The health authorities announced that 13,002 vaccine doses were administered until Monday.

This means that 1,297 vaccine doses were administered on the previous day.
