In a press release, the Government specified that the decision had been taken following the evolution of the epidemiological situation around the world and the appearance of new strains of the virus in neighbouring countries, and based on recommendations by the scientific and technical commission regarding the need to strengthen health emergency procedures and maintain the measures and procedures necessary to combat the coronavirus (Covid-19).
The Government recalled that the precautionary measures referred to:
1- The closing of restaurants, cafés, shops and supermarkets at 8.00 p.m.
2- Night curfew from 9.00 p.m. to 6.00 a.m. on a national level, except in exceptional cases.
3- The prohibition of parties and public or private meetings.
The press release concluded by stating that all the previously announced precautionary measures were to be maintained.
