His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mu’alla, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Umm Al Quwain, has received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.

A photo posted on social media on Sunday shows the Umm Al Quwain Ruler receiving the jab. The vaccine is administered in two doses, with a gap of 21-28 days.

Sheikh Saud is the second Ruler in the UAE to get the jab. His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, received the vaccine in November last year.

Covid-19 vaccines are available for free across the country.
