BEIJING, Jan. 10 (Xinhua) — Beijing has provided commuters living near the city with an off-site booking service for nucleic acid tests, according to a COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control press conference held on Sunday.
Employers with more than 100 commuters living in the areas surrounding Beijing can apply to local health departments to coordinate on-site sampling for nucleic acid tests, said Tian Tao, a member of the city’s epidemic prevention and control work team.
The city has also sent two nucleic acid testing teams to a hospital in the city of Sanhe, which is located near Beijing. They will help the hospital increase its daily testing capacity to 10,000 tubes.
Currently, Beijing has 252 institutions with nucleic acid testing capabilities, a list of which has been released to the public online by the city’s health authorities.
