The Regional Secretariat for Health and Civil Protection reports that today 1,883 rapid antigen tests were carried out in the municipality of Funchal and 91 tests in the municipality of Porto Moniz, which makes a total of 1,974.

Yesterday in Funchal 1,573 were carried out, and in Tuesday in Câmara de Lobos 1007 were carried out. Of the testvicervthesevtwo days 7 positives were identified.

As has been reported since the 4th of January, testing of teachers and non-teaching staff from schools in the municipalities identified with high or higher risk of contagion has started: Funchal, Câmara de Lobos, Ribeira Brava, Porto Santo, Porto Moniz and Santa Cruz (included today).

The testing will continue in the next few days and tomorrow, teachers and non-teachers working in Funchal and Ribeira Brava are scheduled.

The logistics underlying this operation is the responsibility of the RAM Health Service, which quickly and safely deployed 30 professionals to the field.
